Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. in Denver is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project team and learn Ryan’s processes, procedures and policy framework while working from a construction site.

The role emphasizes education in field and office operations, with on-site work for a minimum of six months and ideally the duration of the project. Strong candidates will have a construction-related bachelor’s degree and the ability to read drawings, prepare costs, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field is required.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations, understand drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems.
• Ability to assume responsibility, interface & communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Help generate RFIs and track approvals.
• Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and shop drawing coordination.
• Learn project dimensional control requirements while field verifying dimensions to back check the shop drawing approval process.
• Assist in the coordination and tracking of Vendor and Subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Gain an understanding of overall site logistics.
• Participate in and understand the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process.
• Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs.
• Accompany Ryan personnel and Owner on Punchlist inspections, record items and monitor completion of Punchlist work.
• Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule.
