Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. in Des Moines/Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Midwest team on-site. The role focuses on learning Ryan processes while supporting project execution on a construction site.

You will assist with RFIs, shop drawings, vendor coordination, safety policies, site logistics, and scheduling updates. A bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/management and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with RFIs, submittals and shop drawings processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and contracts.
• Knowledge of cost coding, material pricing and budgeting.
• Strong communication and collaboration with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Help generate RFIs and track approvals.
• Maintain shop drawing log and coordinate drawings.
• Assist in coordinating vendor and subcontractor deliveries.
• Learn Ryan safety policies and site logistics.
• Support project scheduling updates and baselines.
• Participate in punchlist inspections and closeout.
