Job summary

Skanska USA Building is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support on-site field operations, ensure safety and schedule adherence, and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors. Reporting to the Superintendent, this role requires regular on-site presence to supervise labor, enforce the Safety and Health Management Program, and contribute to project success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven construction experience.
• 3+ years administering safety and QC policies.
• 1+ year working with schedule milestones and look-ahead schedules.
• 1+ year assisting with job site logistics and management.
• 1+ year tracking COs and tickets.
• 1+ year working with plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force.
• Inspection of Contractor or (Sub)Contract operations to ensure compliance with Contract.
• Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Superintendent / Project Manager.
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including Owner/Architect representatives.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan in coordination with Superintendent / Project Manager.
• Conduct quality inspections and monitor costs.
• Communicate and enforce the Skanska Safety and Health Management Program.
• Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports.
• Attend and participate in project meetings including subcontractor meetings.
