Job summary

Skanska USA Building is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support on-site field operations, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and profitability on active projects. Reporting to the Superintendent, this role requires regular on-site presence to supervise labor, enforce safety programs, and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

3+ years of proven construction experience.
3+ years administering safety and QC policies.
1+ year working with schedule milestones and look-ahead schedules.
1+ year assisting with job site logistics and management.
1+ year tracking COs and tickets.
1+ year working with plans and specs.

Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force.
Inspect Contractor or SubContract operations for contract compliance.
Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Superintendent/PM.
Maintain relationships with Owner/Architect/Engineer representatives.
Develop and maintain site logistics plans and short-term schedules.
Conduct quality inspections and monitor costs (labor/material).
Enforce Skanska Safety and Health Management Program.
Prepare Superintendent’s Daily Reports and participate in meetings.
