Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking a Construction Engineer to support the EHRM NRM Project Support Services project at the Portland Campus. You will coordinate construction activities, manage submittals, monitor schedules, conduct inspections, maintain project documentation, and address construction-related issues on-site in Portland, Oregon.

This on-site opportunity offers hands-on experience and the chance to work with experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Successful background check and VA PIV card.
• Experience supporting DoD projects.
• Access to VA construction management software training.
• Ability to meet timelines and standards (e.g., OSHA, VA policies).
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and pass National Agency Check (NACI).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate submittal reviews and manage the submittal process.
• Review submittals and provide escort duties.
• Track availability of long lead items and communicate impacts to schedule.
• Review and monitor construction phase schedules, milestones, and deliveries.
• Attend and support progress meetings; follow up on Government actions.
• Field verify as-builts and assist with updates.
• Perform inspections and report to COR for corrections.
• Assist with course of action development for issues; provide troubleshooting.
• Support commissioning and other construction-related services.
• Advise the government on contract changes or potential claims analysis.
