Job summary

1 Prospect Technologies, LLC seeks a Computer Support Specialist to support Fort Detrick data center operations, including troubleshooting, rack-and-stack, and on-site server maintenance. The role requires active DoD secret clearance, and experience with IT security procedures and documentation workflows.

The position is full-time, on-site, with a rotating on-call schedule. Candidates should have an associate degree (or higher) and 5+ years of related experience, plus CompTIA Security+

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance required
• CompTIA Security+ required
• Knowledge of Army IT regulations and security procedures
• Associate degree desired, with 5+ years' experience
• Proven customer service skills
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar help desk tools
• Experience with Microsoft Office products including Access, Excel, Visio and Word
• Ability to work without direct supervision

Responsibilities

• Performs power up/down procedures for data center platforms.
• Provides operational support for server-class platforms.
• Performs rack-mounting and structured cabling per standards.
• Supports government staff with equipment preparation and pickup.
• Help desk support for Fort Detrick LCSC; logs and escalates issues.
• On-call support during off-hours and weekends on rotation.
• Maintains documentation and logs in VISIO, SharePoint, and ServiceNow.
• Verifies generator, UPS, chiller tests and security checks.
• Assists with network server administration and rack configurations.
