Job summary

FedTec is seeking a PC Systems Specialist for on-site work at Fort Knox, KY. The role focuses on planning, design, installation, and maintenance of PC systems, with end-user collaboration to identify needs and deliver solutions through software customization or hardware optimization.

The position requires a DoD Secret (or higher) clearance and verifiable CompTIA Security+ certification, along with 5+ years of related experience in a mid-to-large scale environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree with 5–7 years' relevant PC systems experience.
• Verifiable DoD Secret (or higher) clearance is required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform planning, design, and installation of new and existing personal computer systems.
• Consult with end users to determine hardware and software needs based on operational requirements.
• Develop programs or customize commercial off-the-shelf software to meet identified needs.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripheral devices, and system software.
• Administer and maintain telecommunications protocols as required.
• Provide troubleshooting, diagnostic support, and resolution for hardware and software issues.
• Train and support end users in the use of computer systems, software, and hardware tools.
• Document system configurations, processes, and user instructions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT security and system access policies.
