Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Communications Hardware Electronics Engineer to design, integrate and test rack-based communications hardware for aerospace systems. The role requires collaboration in an IPT and on-site work at Palmdale or El Segundo.

The position involves developing BOMs, engineering drawings, rack cabling and cooling, performing system verification, and providing on-site lab and field support. Travel 25%–45% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline or Master’s in a STEM discipline.
• Experience with MIL-STD-1553/1760/100G; ASME Y14.100.
• Ability to obtain US Government Secret/Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering capture, build, integration, test and maintenance of communications hardware.
• Design rack-based communication, test, support equipment, and cabling.
• Develop BOMs and engineering drawings; specify rack cabling and cooling.
• Develop system verification procedures and on-site integration support.
• Prepare presentations and provide project status updates.
