Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Communications Hardware Engineer or Principal Communications Hardware Engineer to join the Avionics Integration Organization in Palmdale, CA. Responsibilities include installation, integration, testing, and field support of military comms and data link systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline and 2+ years of related professional/military experience; OR Master’s degree in STEM and 0 years of related professional/military experience.
• Active US Government Secret Clearance (or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation).
• Experience with IP/VoIP/IA/satellite/LOS communications and DoD systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, integration, check-out, and formal testing of communications and data link systems in military flight test environments.
• Perform field troubleshooting and repair of communications and data link systems in military flight test environments.
• Support design reviews and documentation such as Interface Control Documents and Software Installation Procedures.
• Plan and execute laboratory and flight tests; manage change proposals and engineering changes.
