Placements24 is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician to service the Paarl region. The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of ovens, grills, fryers, ranges, and refrigeration units in busy restaurants and hotels.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met on-site. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, can read manuals and schematics, and demonstrates reliable, on-time service and problem solving for complex

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician or in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of commercial cooking and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Must be based in or able to commute reliably to Paarl for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and ranges.
• Service refrigeration units, walk-in coolers, and freezers in commercial kitchen environments.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and gas-related issues with precision and efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards for equipment servicing.
• Document all service calls, repairs performed, and parts used accurately.
