Job summary

Tech-24 A Commercial Food Service Repair Company Inc, Long Beach, CA, is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial cooking equipment at customer sites. You will work independently in the field to minimize downtime and support business continuity.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, and other equipment; performing preventive maintenance; documenting service calls; and communicating timelines to customers.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong gas and/or electric troubleshooting experience.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and electrical components.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters.
• Own industry standard hand tools.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe, efficient equipment operations.
• Test components and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system.
• Communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers.
• Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked.
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities.
• Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
