Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant I (CNA) for the Medicine unit. Full-time, three 12-hour shifts, 7P-7A, on-site position with opportunities for bonuses and certifications.

As part of Duke Health, you will support patient care under RN/LPN supervision, perform basic care tasks, and participate in ongoing education and team activities designed to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Complete Level I Nurse Aide education program per NC Board of Nursing.
• Complete DUHS Nurse Aide I+4 program.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BCLS certification must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Record vital signs and I&O; assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with admitted/discharged patients and transport as needed.
• Follow standard precautions and use PPE.
