Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Durham is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on the 6th floor of Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC. This PRN/per diem role offers 12-hour days and a pay of $24.00 per hour.

As a CNA, you will assist with bathing, oral care, feeding, rounds, transport of patients, and maintenance of clean rooms and equipment. BLS certification within 90 days and hospital CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products
• Provide oral hygiene and oral feeding
• Perform hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist in moving patients in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Keep patient rooms and equipment clean and organized
• Maintain unit stock of supplies and equipment

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
