Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking an On-site Dedicated Client Liaison to support intake, coordination, and resolution of inquiries related to the Client’s employee benefits package.

You will work two days per week on site at Fraser, MI, with monthly visits to Saline, and collaborate with Client HR, payroll, and benefits teams. You will translate benefit knowledge into practical, workplace solutions, guide employees on Sun Life services, and help ensure timely, accurate benefit processing and training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Disability and absence administration experience.
• In-depth knowledge of group insurance products/processes.
• Solid understanding of the leave of absence process and eligibility.
• Excellent customer service and strong written/oral communication.
• Self-motivation, adaptability, and initiative in a team setting.
• Ability to work with a diverse range of people and complex inquiries.
• Comfort with travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Proactively define role in collaboration with Client, service team, and leaders.
• Understand in-force Sun Life benefits and apply to benefit administration.
• Manage and resolve inquiries and concerns to satisfaction.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure accurate benefit processing.
• Assist with benefit claims submission and monitor progression.
• Support return-to-work processes with Client stakeholders.
• Explain EOI requirements and resources to employees.
• Attend Client meetings and educate on Sun Life services.
• Share guidance on benefit administration and plan management topics.
• Operate within Client administration systems to gather status info.
• Create Client-facing training and visual content for clarity.
• Analyze reports, conduct audits, and present findings clearly.
• Perform root cause analysis and communicate trends for improvements.
• Identify enhancements to benefit administration with measurable metrics.
• Suggest improvements to Sun Life services and Client relationship.
