Job summary

UW Bothell Information Technology seeks a Classroom Technology Support Technician to maintain and troubleshoot classroom A/V and networked media systems across campus. You will install, configure, and support Extron/AMX/Biamp/Inogenie stacks, assist with events, and coordinate with the service desk for timely resolutions.

The role emphasizes customer service, root-cause analysis, and documentation of procedures, with a focus on uptime for classrooms, labs and event spaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a Computer Maintenance Technician II or five years as a computer maintenance technician
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and document resolutions
• Experience with classroom A/V systems and events
• Experience with both macOS and Windows client computing environments

Responsibilities

• Install and configure classroom A/V stacks (Extron, AMX, Biamp, Inogenie) and test setups
• Provide guidance, escalation, and training for Classroom Technicians
• Respond to classroom and event technical issues to restore services
• Manage and maintain A/V systems lifecycle, firmware, and documentation
