Job summary

New Destiny Housing in Queens is seeking a full-time Case Manager to provide on-site services at The Kira, a 163-unit service-enriched housing development with 69 units set aside for domestic violence survivors. The Case Manager will work within a two-position team led by the Program Director to connect families to resources and foster stability in a violence-free environment.

A bachelor’s degree is required; a BSW or BA/BS in psychology or sociology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; BSW or BA/BS in Psychology, Sociology or Early Education preferred.
• Knowledge of social services and Queens-area resources preferred.
• 1–3 years of direct service experience preferred.
• Experience helping individuals access housing stability, health/mental health and food security.
• Trauma-informed care experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management for a caseload of 20–25 tenants with counseling and crisis intervention.
• Develop programs with staff and families and implement wellness plans.
• Coordinate with schools, clinics and providers for tenant support.
• Maintain up-to-date case files and input data into the management system.
• Attend weekly supervision with the Program Director.
• Work with volunteers to enrich youth and family events.
• Follow New Destiny Housing’s Theory of Change in all activities.
• Collaborate with property management to ensure housing stability.
