Job summary

Burkert USA Corp. seeks an experienced field service professional to install, calibrate, and commission Bürkert valves and instrumentation at pharmaceutical, biotech, and industrial sites. The role requires strong fault-finding, documentation, and customer-facing communication.

Based in Charlotte, NC, with travel across the United States up to 60% and occasional on-site calibration. You will contribute to service program development and mentor junior technicians as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in field service or instrumentation maintenance in process industries.
• Experience with on-site installation, commissioning and repair of valves or instrumentation.
• Strong fault-finding on electro-pneumatic systems and control loops; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and commission Bürkert valves, actuators, and instrumentation at sites.
• Perform startup, loop checks, and verification per procedures.
• Document commissioning activities and provide handover and sign-off.
• Travel up to 60% nationwide; work from Charlotte office when not traveling.
• Interface with QA/Validation teams and calibration houses.
• Support service program development and internal training.
