Job summary

Burkert USA Corp seeks an experienced field service professional for installation, commissioning, and calibration of valves and instrumentation. You will perform on-site testing, document results, and liaise with QA/Validation teams.

A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required, with a Charlotte-based office presence when not traveling. Expect frequent customer interactions, professional service delivery, and opportunities to contribute to service program development across

Qualifications

• 5+ years in field service, instrumentation service, or hands-on maintenance in process industries.
• Experience with on-site installation, commissioning, and repair of valves or automation equipment.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work from Charlotte office when not traveling.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission Bürkert valves, actuators, manifolds, and control systems on-site.
• Perform startup checks, loop checks, system verification and testing per procedures and standards.
• Configure and calibrate devices to customer specs on-site, including basic adjustments.
• Document commissioning activities and provide handover, test records, and customer sign-off.
• Travel to customer sites nationwide; up to 60% travel; support service program development.
