Job summary

Postgraduate Center for Mental Health is seeking a Superintendent to lead on-site operations for an assigned residential building. You will ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency, manage work orders, coordinate vendors, and drive preventive maintenance.

Ideal candidates have a background in building maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with regulatory readiness and emergency response. This role requires independent judgment and proactive leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Minimum five years in multi-unit residential maintenance or superintendent role.
• Experience with plumbing, minor electrical, and heating/boiler systems.
• Proven ability to respond to building emergencies and perform preventive maintenance.
• Experience with work order/property management systems and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform routine plumbing and minor electrical repairs.
• Lead preventive maintenance and inspections of mechanical spaces.
• Respond to emergencies and document actions.
• Manage work orders and ensure complete documentation.
• Coordinate vendors, track COIs, and verify work quality.
• Communicate status to supervisors and draft notices.
