Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for an on-site, per-diem role. You will supervise patients, help ensure safety, perform basic Waive Testing procedures, and support therapy staff with daily activities.

Required: high school diploma or GED and a safe driving record; 21+ years old. Preferred: associate’s degree or higher and prior substance use disorder experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
• Associate's degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient supervision and safety: monitor patients and facility grounds; conduct safety checks.
• Waive testing: measure and report vital signs; conduct UDS and pregnancy tests.
• Patient interaction and support: provide emotional support and refer concerns to therapy staff.
• Communication and team collaboration: share information with leaders and collaborate for high-quality care.
• Daily program and facility management: assist in patient transport, group coordination, and discharge prep.
