Job summary

Rutgers University, through Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, seeks a Program Manager for the Outpatient Services. The role provides clinical and administrative direction, monitors program integrity, and implements Best Practice interventions.

The position requires a Master’s in a behavioral health discipline with five years of postgraduate experience and two years of supervisory work. On-site work, competitive benefits, and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in a behavioral health discipline and five (5) years of postgraduate experience in a relevant behavioral healthcare setting.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience.
• An appropriate doctorate may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs the administrative and clinical organization of the program.
• Interviews candidates for vacant positions and makes hiring recommendation to the Human Resources Department.
• Maintains knowledge of trends and development in the mental health field; regularly attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events that will enhance clinical skills, and maintains best practices.
• Reviews the quality of clinical records and provides ongoing feedback to clinicians on their documentation. Completes the required qualitative chart reviews as requested by the Clinical Documentation Subcommittee.
• Completes Annual Employee Health Update (to include PPD ).
