Job summary

Centria Autism in Walker, MI is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the supervision of a BCBA. You will implement individualized behavior plans, apply evidence-based methods to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, and support the child’s development in a team environment.

Requirements include passion for helping kids, 18+ age, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB testing.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Assist with ensuring child safety and progress in daily activities
