Job summary

Mechanics Bank is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our on-site team in Tukwila, WA. You will handle routine teller transactions and deliver high levels of service, while assisting customers with accounts and referrals to products and services.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a banking environment with basic knowledge of bank deposit products and services preferred.
• 1 year in customer service and cash handling experience in a customer facing role required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as a team member.
• Knowledge of applicable Bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, payments, transfers, and mail/night drop transactions.
• Provides exemplary customer service in person and over the phone and informs customers about products and services.
• Maintains cash balances and reviews transactions for red flags or fraudulent items.
• Assists at other branches as needed.
