Job summary

Mechanics Bank in Seattle is seeking a Universal Banker for an on-site role. You will perform routine teller transactions, open and close customer accounts, and support online/mobile banking to help customers manage their finances.

You will promote banking products, deliver exceptional customer service, and balance cash while ensuring regulatory compliance. Occasional travel (10–20%) may be required as part of branch coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
• Minimum of 1 year banking and cash handling experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Process routine teller transactions and deposits, withdrawals, checks, and transfers.
• Open and close customer accounts including checking, savings, money markets, CDs, and IRAs.
• Assist customers with online banking and mobile banking issues; resolve questions.
• Provide deposit services and promote banking products and services to meet customer needs.
• Assist at other branches as needed.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and balance cash at shift end.
