Job summary

Nuro is seeking Autonomous Vehicle Operators for a 12-month, on-site role in Santa Clara, CA (or South San Francisco, CA). The position includes training, safety checks, and collaboration with a growing operations team to advance autonomous vehicle technology.

This temporary, full-time position comes with full benefits, a base hourly rate of $27–$28.25, weekend differentials, and a discretionary biannual bonus based on performance. Apply at the on-site event or through company channels.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass background check and drug test.
• Willingness to work 5 days a week and on-site in Santa Clara/South San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles in manual and autonomous modes up to 8 hours per day.
• Collect and provide feedback on autonomous vehicle performance to engineers.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks.
• Interact with the public as a company ambassador when appropriate.
• Monitor safety systems and collaborate with dispatch to meet targets.
• Document activities using company devices and systems.
