Job summary

Nuro is seeking Autonomous Vehicle Operators (AVOs) to join our on-site team in South San Francisco, CA, with training in Santa Clara, CA. You will operate our autonomous test vehicles, collect data, and support the training of our self-driving technology.

The role requires a California driver’s license, a clean record, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. Expect 5-day workweeks with afternoon/evening shifts and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
• Pass criminal background check and drug test.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work 5 days a week on the listed shifts.
• Comfort operating laptops/tablets for documentation and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Operate a vehicle in manual and autonomous mode up to 8 hours per day.
• Collect data and provide feedback to engineers.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with dispatch to hit mileage targets.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections before/after missions.
• Educate the public on autonomous vehicle technologies when appropriate.
