Job summary

CTDI is seeking an Engineering Technician to provide on-site technology/automation support at a Logan Twp, NJ location. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and install automated systems and PLC-driven hardware across the network, with up to 40% travel during peak deployment seasons.

The role operates 1st shift, 8:00AM - 4:45PM, Monday - Friday, and pays $21.00 - $38.00 per hour. Strong diagnostic skills and manual reading ability are essential for uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• Experience with industrial automation equipment (conveyance, sortation, robotics, PLC-controlled hardware).
• Ability to read schematics and manuals; capable of field installations.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% during peak deployments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site contact for automated systems including conveyance, sortation, robotics, and PLC hardware.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedules and manage on-site parts inventory.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain throughput.
• Support hardware upgrades, wiring, sensors, and calibration as needed.
• Coordinate maintenance with branch operations to minimize production impact.
