Job summary

CTDI is seeking an Engineering Technician to be an on-site technology and automation support resource at a CTDI branch. You will handle day-to-day upkeep, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of automated systems in production, including conveyance, sortation, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment, while supporting new system launches across the network with up to 40% travel.

1st Shift: 8:00AM - 4:45PM, Monday - Friday; Pay Rate: $21.00 - $38.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience with industrial automation equipment (conveyance, sortation, robotics, PLC hardware) preferred.
Able to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-site contact for automated systems and PLC hardware.
Perform routine preventative maintenance per schedules and manufacturer specs.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain throughput.
Support hardware upgrades, sensor replacement, and wiring repairs.
Coordinate maintenance windows with branch operations to minimize production impact.
