Job summary

Madison Apartment Group is seeking a motivated Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager in all aspects of on-site property management. The role covers administrative duties, leasing apartments, and maintaining excellent resident relations, stepping in as lead when the Property Manager is unavailable.

You will supervise the on-site team, conduct tours, manage lease applications, renewals, and rent collections while ensuring compliance with policies and housing laws.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of property management experience.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM/Yardi a plus.
• High School Diploma required; BA/BS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming environment for residents and guests.
• Assist in training, motivating, and supervising the on-site team.
• Lead property tours, show vacant units, and market property amenities to close sales.
• Complete lease applications and assist with application verification.
• Maintain accurate resident records and manage rent collections and deposits.
• Oversee renewal management, including rent negotiations and lease documentation.
• Conduct inspections of models, vacant apartments, community grounds, and move-ins/move-outs.
• Develop and implement promotional programs and resident events.
• Maintain regular office hours and ensure adequate coverage on weekends and holidays.
• Ensure compliance with all housing laws and company policies.
