Job summary

Mercy Housing is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for an on-site role at El Monte Veterans, an affordable housing community in El Monte, CA. The position supports the Property Manager in daily operations, with emphasis on HUD and Tax Credit compliance and resident service.

You will collaborate with front desk and maintenance teams, coordinate resident events, and contribute to leasing and financial record-keeping. This role requires customer service excellence and schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year admin, office, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of property management regulations.

Responsibilities

• Enters data in resident accounts receivable ledgers.
• Assists with resident records documentation.
• Collects rent and other income, makes bank deposits, and forwards receipts.
• Assists with the leasing process from initial application to move-in.
• Responds to customer services requests.
• May work outside normal business hours to respond to the needs of the property.
