Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in San Francisco, CA to support multiple active construction projects. You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, accounting, subcontractors, architects, and ownership teams to maintain documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and closeout requirements.

The role emphasizes organization, deadline management, and the ability to move between priorities across the project lifecycle, with opportunities to grow into a Project Manager position.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience within the construction industry.
• Experience supporting construction projects in a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Assistant Project Manager capacity preferred.
• Proficiency with RFIs, submittals, change orders, project documentation, and closeout processes.
• Ability to read and develop understanding of project drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and distribute weekly project documentation including submittal logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.
• Review contract documents and drawings to identify required submittals and documentation.
• Coordinate the submittal process from start to finish including approval and distribution.
• Attend meetings with owner, architect, and contractor and prepare minutes and follow-up documentation.
• Support project coordination through reviewing drawings, specs, and related documents.
• Identify potential cost or schedule impacts from requests by owner, architect, consultant, or subcontractor.
• Process and track subcontractor change orders and invoices.
• Maintain organized records of project correspondence, pricing, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with project billing schedules and closeout activities.
