Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our on-site team in Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX. You will support project leaders with scheduling, budgeting and field coordination to drive successful outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a four-year degree and at least three years of related experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills. We value collaboration, safety, and delivering quality facilities across sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with minimum three years related experience.
• Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and e-mail applications.
• Energetic, self-motivated team player with collaboration and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update and monitor job progress using QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting to ensure that construction of project parallels with schedule.
• Perform quantity take-offs, cost estimates and bid solicitation.
• Purchase and coordinate delivery of materials ensuring optimum prices, quality and conformance to specifications and budget.
• Review invoices and change orders.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors for specific trades.
• Attend weekly job site meetings and prepare reports on project status.
• Assist in organization of job files and submission of verbal and written status reports to supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with customers, direct consultants and subcontractors on the project(s).
• Enforce Gray’s safety program on site.
