Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller and CFO in managing the accounting operations of the company. This on-site, full-time role offers strong leadership opportunities and a clear pipeline to a Controller position for high-performers.

The position emphasizes accuracy in GL oversight, policy maintenance, monthly reporting, and compliance, with benefits and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Willing to work weekends and long hours.
• Valid driver’s license; some travel to branches may be required.
• Pre-employment screening including background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of the general ledger, sub-ledgers and all bank reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.
• Maintain documented accounting policies and internal controls to minimize risk.
• Participate in monthly financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with external audits and provide required information.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by Controller or CFO.
