Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in financial management and oversight of accounting operations.

This on-site, full-time role offers a clear path to a Controller position for high-performing individuals with strong leadership and strategic skills. The position requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business Admin, 10+ years of related experience, and preferably CPA/CMA certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Must work independently and in teams to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and reconciliation of the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and bank reconciliations.
• Support accounting department operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Maintain documented accounting policies and internal controls to minimize risk.
• Prepare monthly financial reports in line with GAAP.
• Assist with external audits and provide needed information.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by Controller or CFO.
