Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects across the Midwest.

You will lead commissioning teams, coordinate with engineering and vendors, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout pre-commissioning to project closeout. The role requires on-site presence at job sites with travel, a strong background in utility-scale electrical systems, and a track record of delivering complex

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance and support for efficient execution.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of each project.
• Develop project milestones, commissioning plan, and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning activities.
• Align with engineering, construction, and QA teams on commissioning tasks.
• Develop integrated testing schedules and weekly schedule updates.
• Create and manage commissioning resource plans and switching plans as needed.
• Identify and implement corrective actions for issues identified during commissioning.
