Job summary

MSCCN seeks an Asset Inventory Specialist to perform all asset inventory services at the CBP warehouse in a fully on-site role. The candidate will manage material flow, support shipping/receiving and maintain asset records using IMS and Excel reports.

Requirements include at least five years of inventory management experience, detail-oriented with strong organization, ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, shrink wrap machines and maintain forklift certification, plus familiarity with

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of inventory management experience.
• Detail oriented with organizational skills.
• Experience handling shipping, receiving, and asset excess at CBP’s Warehouse.
• Able to use and update IMS.
• Able to provide weekly inventory control reports via updated Excel spreadsheet and/or IMS.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, shrink wrap machine and maintain forklift certification.
• Operate tablet and/or laptop computer.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments.
• Reviews production schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material.
• Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules and for repair and transport.
• Monitor and control movement of material along conveyor system; compute material needs for job orders.
• Compile report of quantity and type of material on hand; move material between departments.
• Maintain production records and employee records.
