Job summary

GPC Genuine Parts Company in the United States seeks an Activation Engineer to serve as the local engineering and technical expert at new building sites. You will work with the Sr.

Engineering Project Manager to ensure activation of facilities from the ground up, delivering on time, within budget, and in full. On-site resource to oversee activation, provide guidance to teams and contractors, collaborate with vendors, and support project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or supply chain field.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% to support site activations.

Responsibilities

• Lead activation of new buildings from ground up, ensuring engineering and technical aspects are executed effectively.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to align activities and timelines with project goals.
• Provide permitting support and ensure on-time building launches.
• Serve as on-site technical expert, guiding project teams and contractors.
• Apply supply chain automation expertise to integrate and operate systems in new facilities.
• Support tracking of progress, timelines, and budgets with the Sr. Engineering Project Manager.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to communicate status, risks, and mitigations.
