Job summary

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) seeks an Activation Engineer to serve as the local engineering and technical expert at Napa's new building sites. You will work with the Sr.

Engineering Project Manager to ensure successful activation of facilities from the ground up, delivering on time and within budget while leveraging supply chain automation expertise. You will lead on-site technical guidance, coordinate with contractors, and provide commissioning and permitting support to ensure timely building

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Mgmt or related field.
• Passion for understanding of supply chain automation technologies and their implementation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Supply Chain or Logistics Internship/Coop preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with contractors, project teams, and stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as needed to support project activation activities on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead activation of greenfield projects from ground up to completion, ensuring engineering and technical aspects are executed.
• Provide technical oversight, cross-functional leadership, and commissioning support to increase capacity and productivity through technology.
• Coordinate activities with the Project Manager to align timelines with goals.
• Provide permitting support and ensure on-time building launches.
• Serve as on-site engineering expert, addressing challenges and implementing solutions.
