Job summary

Integrated Technology & Security LLC in Central Texas is seeking an Access Control Specialist to install, configure, and maintain physical access systems including badges, readers, controllers and related equipment on construction sites and facilities.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security to protect systems and data integrity.
• Experience with Physical Security and Network Security in environments using access control, CCTV, and related infrastructure.
• Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and vendors, and for documenting system configurations and procedures.
• Hands-on experience installing and maintaining access control systems (hardware and software), including card access, keypads, and security panels.
• Familiarity with security standards, best practices, and compliance requirements relevant to industrial, energy, and healthcare environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and construction plans; basic low-voltage or IT networking knowledge is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work safely in active construction and facility settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in security systems, networking, or related fields are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain access control systems (badges, readers, controllers, hardware and software).
• Perform site assessments and troubleshoot system issues.
• Monitor and respond to access-related incidents and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and client representatives to design secure access solutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation and provide user training.
• Support integration with CCTV, network, and other security systems.
