Job summary
UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking an experienced Access Control Technician to support campus security systems, databases, and hardware. You will perform programming, upgrades, maintenance, testing and repairs across the access control, video management, and intrusion systems, coordinating with security vendors and campus departments.
Under minimal supervision, you will lead small to moderate projects, provide remote access support, and ensure reliable operation of critical
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent or Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience: 7 years in electronic security with HS diploma, or 4 years with Bachelor's degree.
- Licenses: Texas Driver's License and MVR checks as required.
Responsibilities
- Performs complex programming, upgrades, maintenance and repairs for access control, video, and security systems.
- Diagnoses and resolves system and network problems; coordinates with vendors and departments.
- Acts as project manager for small to moderate security projects; provides direction to technicians.
- Maintains logs and prepares quotes for modifications to security software/hardware.
