Job summary

CBX Solutions in Austin, TX is hiring a Security Systems Field Technician to install, configure, and test access control devices, CCTV cameras, NVRs, and related hardware on site. You will work under project managers to achieve milestones across new construction and retrofit environments.

You must hold OSHA-10 and manufacturer/trade certifications, with experience in two VMS platforms and at least one access control system. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with low voltage theory and safety practices.
• Experience installing and programming IP cameras and NVRs.
• Ability to cooperate with customer IT and facilities teams.
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and credential technologies.

Responsibilities

• Install access control devices and electrified door hardware.
• Install and program CCTV/IP cameras, NVRs, and VMS platforms.
• Install wiring pathways and power supplies for security systems.
• Lead field technicians to meet project milestones under supervision.
• Maintain quality control and safety on worksites.
• Provide end-user training and participate in commissioning and testing.
