Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a trained-operator 3D scanning technician to run handheld scanners, process data, and deliver scan-to-CAD outputs for our projects in energy, construction, and manufacturing settings. You'll scan before pours, on damaged structures, and during plant maintenance, using Artec Studio and CAD formats, with travel to regional hubs and on-site data verification.

This is a hands-on role requiring field work, safety awareness, and the ability to carry equipment

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider, or equivalent) on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio for scan processing: registration, fusion, and export.
• Familiarity with CAD reading and drawings (SolidWorks, Fusion, Inventor, or Revit).
• Comfortable on active construction sites and able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of concrete pre-pours, damaged structures, pipes, and machinery.
• Verify capture completeness on site and manage drift using reference features.
• Process scans in Artec Studio and export to STL, OBJ, or CAD formats.
• Produce deviation maps and coordinate reports against drawings.
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
