Job summary

Omega Plastics Inc in Clinton Township, MI is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for the 2nd shift (3:30pm–12:00am). The role ensures the quality of injection-molded products through first piece, in-process and final inspections, using calipers, micrometers and other gauges.

You will document results, monitor equipment, support GMP/GDP, train new staff, and collaborate with machine operators to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. On-site, hourly, with a shift premium.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience in quality inspection/manufacturing, especially injection molding.
• Familiarity with inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauge readings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings and specs.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform first piece, last piece, and in-process inspections to ensure product conformity.
• Conduct capability studies to validate process performance as required.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and report non-conformances promptly.
• Use measuring tools to verify product quality per specifications.
• Train new employees on quality standards and inspection procedures.
• Complete final audits and ensure clean, compliant production environments.
