Viakorp Corporation is seeking professional Telephone Operators to support the San Francisco VA Health Care System on-site in a 24/7 operation. You will serve as the first contact for patients, visitors, and staff, routing calls and handling emergencies with courtesy and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous relevant experience in telephone operations, switchboard, call center, receptionist, dispatcher, or customer service preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
• Route calls to the appropriate departments, clinics, and personnel.
• Operate computerized telephone and switchboard systems.
• Use overhead paging, radio, and emergency communication systems.
• Respond to emergency situations, alarms, and code calls.
• Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation.
• Report equipment issues and outages.
• Assist callers with placing outgoing calls when needed.
• Follow procedures for emergency communications and security events.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Provide courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Work effectively during high call volumes while preserving accuracy.
