Job summary

UPS in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a supervisor to oversee daily performance of service providers, ensure safety and compliance, and foster a customer-focused environment. You will develop work plans, monitor dispatch, lead safety audits, and coach team members to improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions
• Must be currently located in the job location or willing to relocate
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have UPS Package car driving experience
• Ability to lift 70 lbs/32 kgs
• Ability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
• Must be DOT certified, and willing to take a physical exam including a driving test
• On Road driver experience
• ORSA tablet experience

Responsibilities

• Supervises on-road employees to maximize efficiency and safety, tracks performance against goals
• Maintains operational performance by planning work processes and monitoring costs
• Applies policies and procedures to business situations and operations
• Participates in developing and implementing plans to maximize center proficiency
• Ensures health and safety plan is implemented and maintained
• Conducts risk management and safety audits
• Resolves problems, makes decisions, and achieves business objectives
• Maintains employee safety training and certifications
• Evaluates labor markets and attracts talent
• Determines training needs to develop staff, provides feedback and coaching
• Supports collaborative work environment through communication and relationship building
• Applies regulatory and safety knowledge to reduce risk
• Assesses customer/business needs and trends, coaches and develops others
