Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company seeks a restaurant operations leader at Snowshoe to guide daily service, supervise staff, and ensure health and safety standards are met. The role emphasizes guest-focused service, labor planning, and inventory control within a fast-paced, friendly resort environment.

You will participate in scheduling, cash handling, and policy enforcement, with opportunities to mentor teams and step in as acting manager when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality/business degree is a plus.
• 2+ years in the food service or hospitality industry.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth service.
• Supervise, train, and support front-of-house and/or back-of-house staff.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Help with scheduling and managing labor costs.
• Support inventory management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Assist with handling cash and reconciling daily sales.
• Step in as acting manager when the General Manager is unavailable.
