Job summary

Brighton Resort is seeking an IT Specialist to support the resort’s technology infrastructure for employees and guests. The role involves hands-on desktop support, system administration assistance, and on-mountain IT tasks across mountain and base areas.

The ideal candidate brings strong customer service skills, problem‑solving ability, and willingness to work in active mountain environments. Weekend and possibly night shifts are required with on-call duties and exposure to varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Knowledge of CAT5 and above cabling, T568B wiring standard, and cable count color codes a plus.
• Ability to use basic hand tools is required.
• Ability to use logic, vendor support, reference manuals, Internet resources, and documentation to solve problems is required.
• Ski industry and/or related IT work experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for company insurance purposes.
• Ability to ski or snowboard at or above the beginner level to perform on-mountain tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop PC support to Brighton Resort employees and customers.
• Maintain network cabling infrastructure (indoor and outdoor). Repair or replace defective wiring.
• Assist with administering and maintaining production servers and enterprise applications that support Brighton Resort’s operations.
• Install and/or replacing network devices such as switches, wireless access points, wireless bridges, webcams, printers, phones, etc.
• Maintain stocks of consumable supplies.
• May be assigned additional tasks.
