About On Demand

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM, with flexible scheduling based on store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will create your schedule by picking up shifts via our myTime mobile app. Active engagement is required, including responding to contact attempts and working at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Effective December 2024, the minimum is once every 5 months to avoid termination.

Attendance and responsiveness are critical. You will attend a Target Welcome orientation and undergo a short-term training schedule. The myTime app will be your tool for shift selection.

Service & Engagement

As a Guest Advocate, your focus is on guest experience—welcoming, assisting, and exceeding expectations through knowledgeable service and problem-solving. You will promote store offerings and assist with digital and in-store services to foster guest loyalty.

Typical Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and create a welcoming environment.
• Assist guests by understanding their needs and offering solutions.
• Operate scanners, handle merchandise, and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Promote Target’s loyalty programs and digital features like Wallet and the Target App.
• Support order pickup, Drive Up, and registry services.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, support cash handling, and follow safety policies.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

Qualifications & Skills

Additional Requirements

• Handle cash transactions accurately and support cash office operations.
• Lift merchandise up to 44 pounds with or without assistance.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Active engagement in shift picking and responsiveness via the mobile app.
• Work in varying temperatures and environments, remaining mobile throughout shifts.
