About On Demand

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM, with a flexible schedule based on store needs and shift availability. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be scheduled in advance but can create your own schedule by picking up shifts via our myTime mobile scheduling app. Active engagement, including responding to contact attempts and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours), is required to maintain employment.

Participation involves attending a Target Welcome orientation and completing a short-term training schedule. Afterward, you can select shifts through the myTime app.

Service & Engagement

Advocates of guest experience who focus on welcoming, thanking, and exceeding guest service expectations through interaction and recovery. Knowledgeable about store capabilities and features to drive adoption and loyalty. Responsible for making shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up.

Skills & Responsibilities

Typical day includes:

• Delivering excellent guest service
• Greeting guests authentically
• Understanding guest needs through body language and verbal cues
• Assisting with product knowledge and problem resolution
• Efficiently scanning and bagging items
• Minimizing wait times while maintaining accuracy
• Promoting loyalty programs and store services
• Handling returns, de-escalating issues, and supporting order pick-up and drive-up services
• Maintaining a clean work area and supporting store operations

Qualifications

Ideal candidates enjoy working in a fun, energetic environment, interacting with guests, and providing excellent service. Skills include effective communication, focus, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Additional Expectations

• Accurate cash handling and support for cash office operations
• Ability to lift merchandise up to 44 pounds
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Active engagement in shift work via the myTime app every 4-5 months
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and remain mobile during shifts
