Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents for couples living on campus to provide care, guidance, and supervision for 8-13 students in a family-like setting.

The role includes managing routines, monitoring health, driving and engaging in activities, leading devotions, and budgeting tasks, with a nine-on/three-off cycle evolving to a placed houseparent.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan engaging developmental events.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
